Shaheen is a Solicitor and the Head of Finance and Administration at Black Antelope Law where he specialises in immigration and civil litigation. He was elected a Trustee of ILPA in November 2024.

Shaheen has experience in all areas of immigration and nationality law and is dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals and challenging injustices. He was awarded Human Rights Lawyer of the Year in the UK at the 2022 Global Law Experts Annual Awards, 2022 Lawyer Network Annual Awards, and 2023 Corporate INTL Global Award, as well as being recognised as a Rising Star in Immigration law in London at the SME News Legal Awards 2021 and included in lists such as the EqualityX Top 50 Influential Muslims in Europe 2023.

Passionate about supporting mental health and diversity in the sector, Shaheen has been involved with the Law Society’s EDI Committee, as well as being a Champion for LawCare. He was previously a Trustee of the Habeas Corpus Project and is Executive Director of the Jagoron Foundation, a think tank committed to advancing reform in democratic governance and human rights in Bangladesh.
