The Strategic Legal Fund (SLF) is piloting a new project – the Strategic Legal Advice Committee (SLAC) – to connect NGOs with legal experts who can advise on the casework and policy issues you are facing and on potential legal remedies, including whether strategic litigation is an option.

In response to the Nationality and Borders Bill and in recognition of the increasingly important role that litigation and strategic litigation will play in the fight to challenge injustice, SLAC will create a space for NGOs and legal experts to meet and discuss how to bring legal challenges.

All members are welcome to attend the SLAC launch event to hear more about the project and hear about key considerations and the ins and outs of strategic litigation from the perspective of both NGOs, barristers  and solicitors with extensive experience of strategic litigation cases.

This event is an opportunity to answer the things you’ve always wondered about strategic litigation but been afraid to ask. Like, how much impact can this really have on the issues we care about? Or, how can I ask our lawyer how much strategic litigation will really cost? Or how do I explain if there are potential   risks to our NGO partners?

No prior knowledge of strategic litigation is required, just an interest in harnessing the law to create change!

Come equipped with your best questions and feel free to invite colleagues.
