WEB 1035 Breathing (Pranayama) and Meditation (Dhyanā) with Sachin Sawant – ILPA Well-being Series (FREE)

“Participating is more important than winning”, hence, we should always ask ourselves, “Did I do my best?” rather than “Did I win or Did I achieve?”

In order to do your best, your mind, body and breath are required to work in sync, hence, during this session, Sachin will facilitate:

  • Learning and practising 3 breathing practices and 3 meditation practices.
  • Most of these practices can be done at any time of the day, even being at your desk.
  • Learning some ideas of how to incorporate these practices in your daily routine using calendars/reminders/ tasks-goals, etc.
  • Learning some general ideas about nature of mind, using cognitive dissonance to your advantage, importance of Smiling, etc.
  • A short Body Observation (Yoga Nidra)
  • Questions, if any

This session is FREE as is part of ILPA's ongoing well-being series. Spaces on this session are limited to 100 and booking is essential.

Sachin Sawant
Tutor biographies:
Sachin is a Level 3 OISC adviser and has been a member of ILPA since February 2017. 

Sachin is a Certified Senior Yoga Teacher (500 hours RYS - Yoga Alliance USA) in Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga. He has been practising yoga, meditation, breathing, nidra, mantra chanting, etc. since 2008 and has been teaching since November 2014. 

Sachin was born and brought up in Mumbai, India and has lived in India for the first 27 years of his life. Due to his Indian heritage he has a good understanding of the Sanskrit language and hence has an expert ability to translate and explain the Yoga terminology such Yoga, Nidra, Asana, Dhyana, etc.
Aim of Course:
Sachin’s belief: A well-balanced practice of Asanas, Pranayamas, Dhyana and Yoga Nidra can bring profound effects to the human mind and body, hence he teaches a combination of two or more of these practices in every class. 

Sachin has also begun to coach individuals to improve their professional and personal performance and small organisations with improving the performance and productivity of their employees, by using a hybrid approach of combining Yoga with Goal Setting, Time-management, Productivity, Performance, etc.
