About the role and how to apply:

If you have experience of advice and/or training in international education or immigration and are looking to further develop your management and leadership skills, UKCISA has an exciting opportunity to manage the Advice and Training team on a fixed term basis (12 months).

UKCISA provides advice, training and policy guidance to over 400 members and direct support services to international students. Our diverse membership includes every public university in the UK, many private universities and further education colleges, independent schools and students’ unions.

UKCISA is implementing a refreshed national training programme on immigration, fees and other aspects of the international student experience from autumn 2021. It’s also developing a new Associate programme to expand and diversify its training and bring in external experts to deliver content.

Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Advice and Training will line manage UKCISA’s in-house training team of 6, as well as oversee the delivery of our scheduled training programme and the development of our Associates programme. This role will liaise closely with other managers across the organisation, and with our events coordinator. The Head of Advice and Training will represent UKCISA at national and international events, including deputising for other members of the senior management team (SMT), as required.

The successful candidate will be experienced in international education or student immigration. They will have experience of managing teams, with ambitions to lead a team of experienced professionals. The successful candidate will benefit from UKCISA’s commitment to learning and development, and will join a supportive and friendly team.

This is a fixed term role (maternity cover) and UKCISA welcomes secondments from member organisations.
