About the role and how to apply:
STEP is an OISC level 3 registered charity and Law Society (NI) approved legal advice centre. We provide advice and support to help people access justice and protect their rights. We are looking for a new immigration adviser, ideally at OISC level 3, but will consider an experienced OISC 2 advisor.
The focus of the role is on supporting people who otherwise have no access to free and independent expertise, advice and support. There will be particular focus on working with people who are facing a crisis, providing legal work that will take them out of potential or existing destitution and on a path towards integration.
We are looking for a full-time advisor, but we are willing to employ on a part time basis for the right candidate.
We particularly welcome and encourage applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic individuals, those who are migrants or refugees, and who have lived experience of the impact of immigration policy and practice.
Qualifications needed are OISC level 2/3 or IAAS Level 2 Caseworker/Solicitor. Immigration Advice is a registered service regulated by the Office of the Immigration Commissioner (OISC). We can only consider applications with relevant immigration experience and qualifications.
