Solicitor (Ref 2022/Sol35)

We are seeking experienced practitioners of the highest calibre to join our team. Candidates must demonstrate significant specialist UK immigration experience (we would anticipate applicants may typically have 3-5 years’ post-qualification experience), acting in both business and personal immigration matters.

Applicants should have a strong academic background and must demonstrate excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and strategic thinking. You will have a clear passion for immigration law, including a readiness to challenge and effect change where appropriate. Exceptional communication and presentation skills are required and we encourage lawyers to engage in wider activities such as business development, networking and public speaking. We expect the highest levels of professionalism, client service and consideration for colleagues.

Solicitor – PSL Team Manager (Ref 2022/PSL)

Assisted by at least one dedicated paralegal and working with lawyers across the firm, you will support the firm in its thought leadership and communications and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of LDI’s PSL function including the production of articles, e-shots, web content, internal weekly briefings, team technical update meetings, client webinars, supporting lawyers’ media work as well as liaising with the Home Office on policy matters and overseeing enquiries.

Applicants will have extensive post-qualification experience specialising in immigration law and will demonstrate a keen interest and ability to challenge and shape policy. A clear communicator, you will be able to analyse legal changes and disseminate information effectively and appropriately to internal and external audiences. Previous experience as a professional support lawyer is desirable but not essential.

Paralegals (Ref 2022/PL)

We will consider applications from experienced immigration paralegals and entry level applicants for a range of roles on our client-facing and PSL teams.

Holding at least a bachelor’s degree and ideally a relevant law qualification, candidates should demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and a professional manner. We particularly seek candidates with UK immigration law knowledge/experience, although candidates without experience who demonstrate the appropriate skills and aptitudes will be considered.

Working directly with a partner or senior solicitor, paralegals assist in legal research, drafting advice/submissions and enjoy significant client contact (under supervision) as their experience grows.
