Sophie has been an active member of ILPA since 1997; she has been committed to supporting ILPA’s vital work for over 25 years (including serving as a trustee for many years, past Chair (2007-2013), representing ILPA in various contexts including numerous Home Office meetings, and an ILPA trainer/conference chair).

Sophie is Senior Partner and Head of UK Practice at leading immigration firm, Laura Devine Immigration.
Recognised for many years by directories such as Chambers & Partners, Legal 500 and Who’s Who Legal
as one of the UK’s foremost immigration experts, her expertise spans the full breadth business and personal immigration and nationality law. She acts for a diverse range of clients from all sectors, from individuals and families to entrepreneurs and multinational businesses, and is also committed to pro bono work.

Sophie is widely regarded for her work seeking to challenge and shape UK immigration policy and for her
“generosity in sharing her knowledge” for the benefit of immigration law practice in the UK. She is a frequent speaker and commentator on immigration topics.
