ILPA’s Legal Director spoke at the APPG on Immigration Detention ‘Response to small boat arrivals’, about access to justice issues throughout the processing of those people who arrive via the Channel.
Other parliamentary work included a round table with Shadow Immigration Minister Holly Lynch MP to discuss next year’s asylum bill, and a meeting with Stuart McDonald MP following the announcement of the changes to the Immigration Rules on the admissibility of asylum claims. Several meetings were held with our NGO colleagues in the sector to discuss the response to these changes.
