New asylum rules on inadmissibility
The new immigration rules on the admissibility of asylum claims were published on 10 December 2020, the sector convened a meeting the following day at which ILPA’s Legal Director explained the new rules. Following this, we were invited to a meeting with Stuart McDonald MP which we attended with British Red Cross and JCWI that afternoon, where the potential implications of the new rules were discussed. Following this HASC wrote to the Home Secretary seeking clarification on the new rules. The response is here.
