ILPA and Work Rights Centre have submitted joint evidence to the Secondary Legislation Scrutiny Committee regarding the Statement of Changes to the Immigration Rules HC 556 of 19 February 2024, and in particular the abrupt introduction of changes to the Ukraine Schemes, without public consultation or Parliamentary scrutiny, and the changes to the Health and Care Worker visa.
For the reasons set out in the below evidence, we recommend that the Statement of Changes be annulled and the Home Secretary given the opportunity to reconsider the changes.
