Contribute an article

We are always looking for new content and would love to hear from you if you would like to be involved in writing an article for ILPA. We’re offering 2 x free places on one of our 2 or 3 CPD Hours webinars or 1 x place on one of our conferences. These free places can either be redeemed by yourself or a colleague within 6 months.

ILPA is always delighted to receive members’ contributions for inclusion in the ILPA Monthly or on this website, and/or for circulation to working groups. This includes not just feature articles but also notable correspondence with official bodies, items you have spotted and casenotes, whether on your own cases or cases that have caught your interest. It does not matter if the item has appeared elsewhere, but it is your responsibility to ensure that the material is not subject to copyright.

Publication dates: this will vary per month, but usually content needs to reach ILPA by the first week of the month to ensure it can be published in that month’s edition. Please contact info@ilpa.org.uk.

We are particularly interested in receiving notes for the Monthly that analyse developments in the law and their implications for practitioners. We are especially interested in points raised by your cases. Please get in touch at info@ilpa.org.uk. Ideally, contributions should be 700-1,200 words long. Longer and shorter pieces will also be considered.

The ILPA Monthly provides a summary and a focus on our work and the activities of the membership, it also includes job advertisements, latest statutory instruments and tribunal determinations, upcoming working group dates, and training information.

The ILPA Monthly also includes the ILPA Activities section, highlighting what the Secretariat and members have been up to recently. It features meetings we have attended, and work undertaken to advance the interests of members.

The Legal Update provides a regular snapshot of key level developments over the past month.

In addition, each month the ILPA Monthly focuses on one aspect of ILPA membership to make sure you’re getting the most out of your ILPA membership.

Links to all documents ILPA has published over the past month will now be provided in an extensive Key Documents section.

If you have an article, case note or observation you would like to share with your colleagues, please contact info@ilpa.org.uk. We are after content on any topic that interests you. Ideally, contributions should be 700-1200 words in length. Longer pieces will, however, be considered.
