ILPA Trustee and liaison for the ILPA Courts and Tribunals and Removals, Detention and Offences Working Group
David has been a trustee at ILPA since 2019. He has specialised in immigration since working as a caseworker at the Immigration Advisory Service in 2006. He previously worked at Liberty where he acted on a number of high-profile test cases. From there he subsequently went to the Bar, where he has a particular interest in asylum, human rights, trafficking and unlawful detention work. He recently successfully represented the Applicant before the European Court of Human Rights in Unuane v UK.
David is the Trustee Liaison on ILPA’s Courts and Tribunals, and Removals, Detention and Offences Working Groups, and on ILPA’s Editorial Advisory Board.
