WEB 3072 ILPA Conference on Current Issues in Immigration and Family Law
Event
We invite you to attend ILPA’s Conference on Current Issues in Immigration & Family Law, hosted as a hybrid event.
An all-day conference bringing together experts from the worlds of immigration law and family law to discuss issues involving both sectors, as those fields so often overlap. We believe it is the first conference of its type that brings together the two disciplines.
Panels will include:
- Marital breakdown, chaired by Tim Barnden of Bates Wells
- Domestic violence, chaired by Nath Gbikpi of Leigh Day Solicitors
- Children, including adoption and surrogacy, chaired by Barry O’Leary of Wesley Gryk Solicitors
- Legal aid and access to justice, chaired by Mala Savjani of Wilson Solicitors
Each panel will have 4 to 6 family and immigration experts giving short speeches, followed by a Q&A from attendees.
This will be an in person all-day event followed by a social. It is an excellent opportunity for practitioners to understand more about the intersection between immigration and family law, to network, and to meet other lawyers who they may wish to instruct and work with in future.
Further speakers will be announced in due course.
