We invite you to attend ILPA’s first Student Sponsors Conference, hosted as a hybrid event. This all day conference will take place in person at Friends House in London and online via Zoom. The conference, created by education immigration law experts Tom Brett Young, Anna Blackden and Nichola Carter, will examine the Immigration Rules and Home Office Policy Guidance relating to the sponsorship of international students in the UK. The conference will be aimed principally at student sponsorship in independent schools, colleges and pathway providers. However, those working at or advising higher education providers holding a student sponsor licence (and who recruit from pathway providers) would also find the content useful. We will also be examining the Home Office’s recently announced changes to the Child Student visa route with significant new rules relating to child safeguarding, nominated guardians and permissible UK living arrangements.
Tom Brett Young and Anna Blackden will chair the conference with Jacqueline Amos, Head of Study Services at the UKVI attending as our Key Note Speaker – so an unmissable opportunity to hear more from the UKVI about the forthcoming Child Student route changes.
Joe Middleton, Kings Counsel and barrister from Doughty Street Chambers is also a guest speaker along with highly experienced immigration practitioners in the field of student sponsorship as further detailed in the agenda below.
