We have sent a letter to Home Secretary Yvette Cooper following the recent amendments made to the Good Character Guidance, published on 10 February 2025.
Our letter urges the Government to take immediate action to amend the Guidance to ensure its compliance with the UK’s international obligations, by upholding the rights of refugees, stateless persons, children, and victims of trafficking. We have also requested a meeting with the Home Secretary to discuss the issues raised in our letter further.
