ILPA and Refugee Legal Support sent a joint open letter to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer on 9 July 2024, outlining our concerns regarding the safety of Afghans, and urging the new Government to consider our seven key recommendations aimed at rectifying the current Afghan Resettlement Schemes and honouring the commitments that have been made.

The letter, which has been signed by over 150 organisations and individuals, and has also been sent to the Home Secretary Yvette Cooper MP, can be read in full below.

Our thanks to Refugee Legal Support, the Afghan Pro Bono Initiative and to everyone who signed the letter.
