ILPA’s response to the ICIBI’s Call for Evidence on Asylum Casework (15 September 2020)

ILPA made 14 recommendations in response to the ICIBI’s Call for Evidence on Asylum Casework, including that:

  • the Home Office must train decision makers on COI standards and methodology;
  • implement the recommendations in UKLGIG’s report ‘Still Falling Short’; and
  • grant a period of discretionary leave to those with Conclusive Grounds decisions who have outstanding asylum claims, whilst they await final decisions on their asylum claims/appeals.
