Rowena Moffatt
Barrister at Doughty Street Chambers
Rowena is a barrister at Doughty Street Chambers, called in 2009, who specialises in immigration and asylum law and is recognised in the legal directors for her work in this area. She practises across the spectrum of immigration, asylum and nationality law and appears regularly both in the tribunal and ordinary courts. Rowena is an author of a number of practitioner texts in her areas of practice and has a PhD in the area of access to justice in state decision-making on migration. Before taking up tenancy she was a judicial assistant at the UK Supreme Court.

David Ball
Barrister at The 36 Group and ILPA Trustee
David has specialised in immigration since working as a caseworker at the Immigration Advisory Service in 2006. He previously worked at Liberty where he acted on a number of high-profile test cases. Since then he has gone on to the Bar and has a particular interest in asylum, human rights, trafficking and unlawful detention work. He is a trustee of ILPA, and currently has cases pending variously at the High Court, Court of Appeal and European Court of Human Rights.
