Membership is available for different categories of practitioner and organisation, depending on years of experience, and size of organisation. It is an annual fee. See terms and conditions.
Individuals
R £90 | Full time student / retired* member / unemployed (proof of status required) |
P £120 | Pupil barristers / trainee solicitors (proof of pupillage, training contract required) |
F £150 | All other individuals, including immigration professionals with fewer than 5 years experience (please state where employed/ your interest in joining) |
E £170 | Practising barristers between 5 and 10 years call Practising solicitors with between 5 and 10 years since first entered on the roll of solicitors OISC regulated advisors and CILEx registered advisors registered for between 5 and 10 years (those with fewer than 5 years fit category F) |
G £240 | Practising barristers over 10 years call Practising solicitors with over 10 years post qualification experience OISC regulated advisors and CILEx registered advisors registered for more than 10 years |
Organisations
A £150 | Law Centres Local Citizens’ Advice Bureaux and not-for-profits** with a turnover of less than £500,000 |
B £240 | Barristers Chambers with 1 – 5 barristers OISC regulated organisations with 1 – 5 advisers Solicitors Firms with 1 – 5 fee earners Alternative Business Structures with 1 – 5 fee earners All organisations not listed elsewhere |
C £320 | Barristers Chambers with 6-25 barristers OISC regulated organisations with 6-25 advisers Solicitor firms with 6-25 fee earners Alternative Business Structures with 6-25 fee earners Not-for-profits** with a turnover of over £500,000 |
D £450 | Barristers Chambers with over 26 barristers OISC regulated organisations with over 26 advisers Solicitor firms with over 26 fee earners Alternative Business Structures with over 26 fee earners |
*Retired refers to former members who are NOT employed or self-employed (including working on a consultancy basis) and do not intend to be so engaged at any time in the future. Those not fitting this description should apply for individual membership.
**Not for profits refers to voluntary sector organisations, whether or not charities.
